Thomas Leo Lindemann
December 26, 1939 – February 17, 2018
New Windsor, NY

Thomas “Digger” Leo Lindemann, Sr., of New Windsor, NY entered into eternal rest on February 17, 2018 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. He was 78 years old.

The son of the late Leo Thomas Lindemann and Della Marie (Jones) Lindemann, Thomas was born on December 26, 1939 in Cornwall, NY.

Thomas honorably and proudly served his country as Chief Petty Officer of the U.S. Navy. Thomas was a funny, humorous man always trying to make people laugh; he was famous for his one liner's like “I always forget what I don't remember". Thomas was a true family man putting his children and grandchildren first and foremost. His legacy is his love and desire to always be fishing. He has passed this amazing love for fishing on to his sons and his grandsons. His friends were as important to him in his life as was his children, grandchildren and fishing. He was truly devoted to his sister Ann Hill whom was not only his sister but his very best friend. Although he was divorced from his children's mother Sandra Coronado she remarried and he became very close to her husband David Coronado. They remained great friends and took care of each other to the very end.

He was an alter boy serving at St. Thomas Church in his youth.
A family statement reads: “He was the most honest, loyal and giving person. He was always trying to help his family and friends and he truly had the biggest heart.” He will be missed greatly.

Thomas is survived by his sons: Thomas L. Lindemann, Jr. of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY, Wilson A. Lindemann of Bergenfield, NJ and Brandon M. Lindemann of New Windsor, NY; his daughters Stacey A. Lindemann of Weston, FL and Cheryl L. White of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren: Gavin W. Rodrigues and Tristan T. Fasce; and a sister: Ann Hill.
