Obituary for Ida Ramos (Reina)
October 16, 1921 – January 8, 2018
Ida Ramos, of Monroe, NY entered into eternal rest on January 8, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Wallkill, NY. She was 96 years old.
The daughter of the late Ramon Reina and Josephine (Martinez) Reina, Ida was born on October 16, 1921 in Manhattan, NY.
Ida was a retired bilingual secretary for Lederle Laboratory in Pearl River, NY.
Ida was an advocate of higher education and consequently she and her husband, Joseph, were very proud to have all of their children attend and graduate from college. She was actively involved in the lives of all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Ida was a very accepting and open-minded person. She respected all of the choices that her children made with equanimity and love. She will be missed greatly.
In addition to her parents, Ida was predeceased by her loving husband: Joseph Ramos. She is survived by her children: Joseph Ramos, Robert Ramos, Emily Ramos, Patricia Hassler and Rita Cruz; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 12th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 13th at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 220 Brick Church Rd, Monsey, NY 10977.
